Fantasy NBA FanDuel DFS Values (Jan. 28)

Earlier today, I posted some value plays that I like on DraftKings and now I turn my attention to FanDuel.

Wednesdays always have a large slate of games and there are four $11,000-plus players on tonight's 11-game slate: Anthony Davis ($11,400), James Harden ($11,400), DeMarcus Cousins ($11,100) and LeBron James ($11,000).

In order to afford one of those high-priced studs, finding lower-priced bargains is essential. With that said, here are some FanDuel values (salaries of $7,000 or less) for Wednesday's NBA games:

PG - D.J. Augustin, Detroit Pistons (at PHI), $6,000: In his second start following the season-ending Achilles injury to Brandon Jennings, Augustin followed up his 49.8-point performance with 36.3 fantasy points. Augustin had 19 points, nine assists, four rebounds and two steals against the Cavs in 36 minutes last night. While he may not score 36 fantasy points again tonight, Augustin has a favorable matchup against the Sixers.

PG - Isaiah Thomas, Phoenix Suns (vs. WAS), $5,800: Over his past four games, Thomas has knocked down 15-of-30 three-pointers and scored at least 22 (real) points in every game. During that four-game span, Thomas has averaged 32.38 fantasy points (5.58 times tonight's salary). Even though the Wizards have one of the league's best defenses, they have been a little friendlier to opposing point guards recently by allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to the position over their past five games and Vegas projects the Suns to score the most points tonight. IT2 will be on a few of my FanDuel tournament lineups.

PG - Langston Galloway, New York Knicks (vs. OKC), $4,800: Signed for the rest of the season after a pair 10-day contracts, Galloway has been one of the bright spots for the Knicks. In his past four games, he has averaged 32 minutes and 28 fantasy points per game.

PG - Zach LaVine, Minnesota Timberwolves (vs. BOS), $3,700: LaVine gets a huge boost tonight with both Mo Williams (personal reasons) and Ricky Rubio out and should see 30-plus minutes at a near minimum salary.  In 11 games in which he has played at least 30 minutes, LaVine has averaged 24.34 fantasy points per game.

PG - Dante Exum, Utah Jazz (vs. LAC), $3,500: The good news is that Exum should score more than he did in his last game. Of course, it'd be difficult to score less than 2.2 fantasy points. The matchup against Chris Paul and the Clippers tonight is difficult, but Exum is priced at the position-minimum salary, his ownership levels should be very low after his previous dud and he had scored at least 19.5 fantasy points in his previous two games.

* FanDuel's $400K NBA Super Slam: $400,000 in prizes including $40,000 to 1st in tonight's NBA Super Slam tourney ($25 entry).

SG - Wes Matthews, Portland Trail Blazers (at CLE), $6,000: Matthews has been really productive over his past five games. During that stretch, he has scored at least 26.6 fantasy points and averaged 29.66 per game. Matthews has a little more upside on DraftKings due to the half-point bonus for three-pointers as he's averaging four three-pointers over that stretch, but he's a solid bet to reach value tonight.

SG - Eric Gordon, New Orleans Pelicans (vs. DEN), $5,600: Over his past 11 games, Gordon has scored a minimum of 19.1 fantasy points in each game with an average of 25.83 per contest. During that stretch, he has averaged 15.36 points and 2.18 three's per game. Over their past 10 games, the Nuggets have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards.

SF - Wilson Chandler, Denver Nuggets (at NO), $5,900: Chandler has now scored 34-plus fantasy points in back-to-back games and at least 32 fantasy points in three consecutive games. And Chandler had 30.5 fantasy points the first time this season against the Pelicans, who have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing small forwards.

SF - K.J. McDaniels, Philadelphia 76ers (vs. DET), $4,600: I considered listing McDaniels in the DraftKings values post, but I like his value even more on FanDuel where he is priced $100 less. And with a higher average salary on FanDuel, that puts McDaniels' salary at 69.0 percent of the average starter salary versus 75.2 percent on DraftKings. That said, McDaniels has scored at least 28.5 fantasy points in two of his past three games and should be able to reach value tonight.

PF - Thaddeus Young, Minnesota Timberwolves (vs. BOS), $6,800: Over his past seven games, Young has scored at least 32 fantasy points five times and has averaged 34.59 fantasy points per game. During that span, he's averaging 18.57 points, 6.14 rebounds, 4.71 assists and 1.43 steals per game. In addition, he has played over 40 minutes in back-to-back games.

PF - Jason Smith, New York Knicks (vs. OKC), $4,100: Playing at least 32 minutes in four consecutive games, Smith has scored more than 24 fantasy points in three of those four games. With Amar'e Stoudemire dealing with some injuries (ankle and wrist) and expected to miss some time, Smith should continue to see big minutes.

C - Marcin Gortat, Washington Wizards (at PHO), $5,500: Gortat's production has underwhelmed recently and he's been a bit inconsistent as well -- less than 20 fantasy points in six of his past 16 games. That said, he has averaged 24.1 fantasy points per game over his past 12 games and I think he has an excellent shot to reach 5x his value tonight. Moreover, I'm not crazy about many of the other low-priced center options tonight.

Fantasy NBA DraftKings DFS Values (Jan. 28th)

Q: When is it a bad idea to pay up for Anthony Davis?
A: Never.

The Unibrow has scored at least 52 fantasy points in six of his past eight games including 64.5 points in his last game against the Sixers on Monday. During that eight-game span, Davis has averaged 28.88 points, 10.0 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 1.75 steals per game.

With a matchup against the Nuggets, who have allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing power forwards, it's going to be risky to fade Davis ($11,000), who is priced higher than all players not named James Harden ($11,100).

To make matters more interesting, however, power forward has as much value as any other position tonight.

With that said, here are some DraftKings values ($6,500 salary or less) for Wednesday's NBA games:

PG - Jarrett Jack, Brooklyn Nets (at ATL), $6,000: With Deron Williams out again, Jack should see 34-plus minutes and he has scored at least 34.5 fantasy points in four of his past five games. Over that five-game span, Jack has scored 17.4 points with 6.6 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game. The Hawks are one of the best defensive teams in the league, but they have allowed the 10th-most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season.

PG - D.J. Augustin, Detroit Pistons (at PHI), $5,800: In his second start following the season-ending injury to Brandon Jennings, Augustin followed up his 53.5-point performance with 40.5 fantasy points. Augustin had 19 points, nine assists, four rebounds and two steals against the Cavs in 36 minutes last night. While we shouldn't expect 40-plus points from him on a nightly basis, Augustin has a favorable matchup against the Sixers, who have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing point guards. Take advantage of his depressed price tag while you can.

PG - Langston Galloway, New York Knicks (vs. OKC), $4,300: Signed for the rest of the season after back-to-back 10-day contracts, Galloway has been one of the bright spots for the Knicks. In his past four games, he has averaged 32 minutes and nearly 30 fantasy points (29.69) per game.

PG - Brian Roberts, Charlotte Bobcats (at SA), $4,200: With Kemba Walker scheduled to have knee surgery on Wednesday, Roberts will run the point for the foreseeable future, but the best thing about him is his price. On the season, he is averaging only 0.66 fantasy points per minute, but the uptick in minutes due to his role should allow him to reach value.

[Update: Mo Williams has been ruled out for personal reasons, which means Zach LaVine gets the start with a $3,000 price tag and should see 30-plus minutes.  As I noted in my FanDuel values post, LaVine has played 30-plus minutes in 11 games.  In those games, he has scored at least 20 fantasy points 10 times and averaged 26.8 per game.]


SG - DeMar DeRozan, Toronto Raptors (vs. SAC), $6,500: DeRozan continues to shake the rust off as he has scored at least 24 (real) points and 36.5 fantasy points in back-to-back games. The good times should continue to roll for DeRozan as the Kings have allowed the 10th-most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards this season.

SG - Wesley Matthews, Portland Trail Blazers (at CLE), $6,100: Matthews has been really productive over his past five games. During that stretch, he has scored at least 28.75 fantasy points and averaged 32.25 per game. Averaging four three-pointers over that stretch, Matthews has averaged 20.2 points and 1.6 steals per game.

SG - Kyle Korver, Atlanta Hawks (vs. BKN), $4,800: Priced at 5.31 times his full-season production (25.5 fantasy points per game), Korver is a deadly outside shooter (and occasional high riser). Given the inconsistent nature of his game log, however, Korver is a better suited as a tournament play.

SG - Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Detroit Pistons (at PHI), $4,100: Of the shooting guards in action tonight that average at least 23 minutes per game, only Ben McLemore (0.54) averages fewer fantasy points per minute than Caldwell-Pope (0.59). That said, KCP gets nearly 32 minutes per game and a favorable matchup tonight against the Sixers, who have allowed the third-most fantasy points to the position.

SF - Wilson Chandler, Denver Nuggets (at NO), $6,000: Chandler has now scored 38-plus fantasy points in back-to-back games and at least 33 fantasy points in three consecutive games. And Wilson had just shy of 33 fantasy points (32.8) the first time he played the Pelicans this season. The Pelicans have allowed the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing small forwards.

SF - Paul Pierce, Washington Wizards (at PHO), $4,700: Pierce (toe) sat out last night's game against the Lakers, but if he plays against the Suns tonight, he is one of my favorite values at small forward. Pierce has played at least 30 minutes and scored a minimum of 28.75 fantasy points in each of his past three games played. Meanwhile, the Suns have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing small forwards. Since this game has a 10:30 start, we may not know his status prior to 7 PM, but you can pivot to P.J. Tucker ($4,100), if necessary, thanks to DraftKings' late-swap feature.

PF - Thaddeus Young, Minnesota Timberwolves (vs. BOS), $6,400: Over his past seven games, Young has scored at least 30 fantasy points six times and has averaged 35.82 fantasy points per game. During that span, he's averaging 18.57 points, 6.14 rebounds, 4.71 assists and 1.43 steals per game.  In addition, he has played over 40 minutes in back-to-back games.

PF - Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas Mavericks (at HOU), $6,400: Last night, Nowitzki had a 17-game low in fantasy points (25.25). While his ceiling isn't what it once was, Nowitzki has a 25-point floor and needs 32 fantasy points to reach 5x value. During that 17-game span, he has averaged 31.38 fantasy points per game.

PF - Brandon Bass, Boston Celtics (at MIN), $4,900: Even as his price creeps up, Bass remains a solid value option at the position. Bass has scored a minimum of 22 fantasy points in six consecutive games and the T'Wolves have allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing power forwards this season.

PF - Jason Smith, New York Knicks (vs. OKC), $3,900: Playing at least 32 minutes in four consecutive games, Smith has scored more than 25 fantasy points in three of those four games. With Amar'e Stoudemire dealing with some injuries (ankle and wrist) and expected to miss some time, Smith should continue to see big minutes despite his sub-$4,000 price tag.

C - Nikola Pekovic, Minnesota Timberwolves (vs. BOS), $4,900: Pekovic has now played 30-plus minutes in back-to-back games although he has averaged roughly 20 fantasy points in those two games. Pek gets a more favorable matchup tonight against the Celtics, who have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing centers this season.

[Note: Al Jefferson is priced slightly higher than my cutoff at $6,700, but he's going to start tonight and is probably my favorite play at center tonight.]

* Fantasy Basketball World Championship (FBWC): Qualify for DraftKings FBWC and spend a five-night VIP experience in Vegas culminating in a one-in-40 shot at the $1 MILLION top prize.

Fantasy NBA FanDuel DFS Values (Jan. 27)

Earlier today, I posted some value plays that I like on DraftKings and now I turn my attention to FanDuel.

While both sites create their salaries independently of each other, there will always be plenty of overlap as recent and expected production and matchups drive the majority of my recommendations.

With that said, here are some FanDuel values (salaries of $7,000 or less) for Tuesday's NBA games:

PG - Derrick Rose, Chicago Bulls (at GS), $7,000: On a night with six games, there are seven point guards with a higher price than D-Rose. Rose has scored less than 30 fantasy points in three of his past four games, but he has averaged slightly more than 35 FanDuel points (35.08) over his past eight games. Over that eight-game span, Rose is averaging 22.63 points, 5.75 assists and steal in nearly 33 minutes per game.

PG - D.J. Augustin, Detroit Pistons (vs. CLE), $6,000: In his first start since Brandon Jennings (Achilles) was lost for the season, Augustin scored 35 points with eight assists and finished with 49.8 fantasy points. Duplicating Sunday's numbers is unrealistic, but Augustin gets a decent matchup against Kyrie Irving and should be able to score 30 fantasy points to reach 5x value.

PG - Beno Udrih, Memphis Grizzlies (at DAL), $3,900: Depending on the status of Mike Conley, who is questionable with a wrist injury, Udrih could see expanded minutes. Against the Magic last night, Udrih scored 31.9 fantasy points with 15 points, five assists and four steals. Since this game doesn't tip off until 8:30 PM, it's possible that we won't have a definitive answer on Conley's status before the 7 PM lineup lock.

* FanDuel's $250K NBA Slam: $250,000 in prizes including $25,000 to 1st in tonight's NBA Slam tourney ($25 entry).

SG - Bradley Beal, Washington Wizards (at LAL), $6,000: More of a tournament play based on his inconsistency, Beal has 40-point upside in a plus matchup against the Lakers. Even with Kobe Bryant, the Lakers are one of the worst teams in the league, but the Wizards are only eight-point favorites tonight as one of the potential concerns with Beal is that this game turns into a blowout and he sits the fourth quarter.

SG - Jordan Clarkson, Los Angeles Lakers (vs. WAS), $3,500: Clarkson has actually started at point guard in each of the past two games and the combo guard should continue to get the start at the point. Clarkson has played 29 and 27 minutes in those starts, respectively. While the production has left a lot to be desired in those two starts, punting at shooting guard with a minimum-salary player starting at point guard isn't necessarily a bad idea.

SF - Paul Pierce, Washington Wizards (at LAL), $5,100: Pierce has played at least 30 minutes and scored a minimum of 27.1 fantasy points in each of his past three games. While he lacks upside, Pierce should be able to reach value in a favorable matchup against the Lakers.

SF - James Ennis, Miami Heat (vs. MIL), $3,600: Luol Deng would have been one of my favorite plays at small forward, but he missed shoutaround and is doubtful with a sore calf. In the last game that Deng missed (Jan. 21st), Ennis (28 minutes, 20.4 FanDuel points) played more minutes and was more productive than Danny Granger (20 minutes, 8.2 FD points) and is a solid value play.

PF - Nene Hilario, Washington Wizards (at LAL), $5,700: Over his past five games, he has averaged 28.8 fantasy points per game, which would put him above 5x salary for tonight. Nene has averaged a robust 1.04 fantasy points per minute during that stretch. In addition, the Lakers rank in the bottom 10 in the league in rebounding differential.

C - Hassan Whiteside, Miami Heat (vs. MIL), $6,000: Playing 25 minutes off the bench on Sunday, Whiteside did maximum damage with his allotment of minutes by posting the rare triple-double with blocked shots. In his past eight games, Whiteside has played at least 24 minutes in four games and he has a double-double (or a triple-double) in all four of those games.

C - Timofey Mozgov, Cleveland Cavaliers (at DET), $5,100: Before Sunday's modest performance (two points, six rebounds), Mozgov had three consecutive double-doubles with at least 27 fantasy points in each game. Meanwhile, the Pistons have allowed the most fantasy points to opposing centers over the past three weeks based on stats from Rotogrinders.

Fantasy NBA DraftKings DFS Values (Jan. 27th)

In order to afford high-priced players like LeBron James ($10,600) and Stephen Curry ($10,000), you'll need to find some low(er)-priced values to stay within the $50,000 salary cap ($6,250 per player).

With that said, here are some DraftKings values ($6,500 salary or less) for Tuesday's NBA games:

PG - D.J. Augustin, Milwaukee Bucks (vs. CLE), $5,800: In his first start since Brandon Jennings was lost for the season with a torn Achilles, Augustin scored 35 (real) points with eight assists and finished with 53.5 fantasy points. Duplicating Sunday's numbers tonight would be unrealistic expectations, but Augustin gets a decent matchup against Kyrie Irving and needs just 29 points to reach 5x value.

PG - Jordan Clarkson, Los Angeles Lakers (vs. WAS), $3,700: Getting the start at point guard, Clarkson's production has been modest (20.25 and 10.5 fantasy points, respectively) in his two starts. Getting close to 30 minutes in each outing, however, Clarkson is at least worth a look as a punt option.

PG - Beno Udrih, Memphis Grizzlies (at DAL), $3,500: Depending on the status of Mike Conley, who is questionable with a wrist injury, Udrih could see expanded minutes. Against the Magic last night, Udrih scored 33 fantasy points with 15 points, five assists and four steals in 26 minutes. The Mavs have allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season.

SG - J.R. Smith, Cleveland Cavaliers (at DET), $5,000: Even with Iman Shumpert making his Cavs debut, he has only played 23 minutes in his first two games with the Cavs. Meanwhile, Smith has scored 30.46 fantasy points per game over his past seven games with 17.29 points, 4.29 three-pointers and 1.71 steals per game during that stretch. In addition, the Pistons have allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing two guards.

SG - O.J. Mayo, Milwaukee Bucks (at MIA), $4,300: Although Mayo hasn't started since Christmas, he has been productive off the bench. In his past eight games, Mayo has averaged 25.97 fantasy points per game (6.03 times tonight's salary) with a minimum of 21.5 (5.0 times tonight's salary). During that span, he has averaged 14.38 points, 2.25 three's and 3.5 assists per game.

SG - Wayne Ellington, Los Angeles Lakers (vs. WAS), $3,900: With Kobe Bryant out of the season, Ellington has now scored at least 20 fantasy points in three consecutive games. His ceiling is relatively low, especially considering the Wizards allow the fewest fantasy points to opposing shooting guards, but Ellington has a good chance to reach value (5x his salary). In addition, there is a good chance that Nick Young (sprained ankle) sits this one out. If he does play, however, here's Swaggy P's thoughts on what the Lakers should do:

SF - Khris Middleton, Milwaukee Bucks (at MIA), $4,900: Luol Deng was one of my favorite value plays tonight, but he's considered doubtful with a sore calf so I'm going with another SF from this game. It's difficult to fully trust Middleton, or any Bucks players with Jason Kidd at the helm, but Middleton has scored 33.25 and 37.25 fantasy points in his past two games, respectively. And before that, Middleton scored at least 21 fantasy points in nine of 10 games.

SF - Paul Pierce, Washington Wizards (at LAL), $4,700: Pierce has played at least 30 minutes and scored a minimum of 28.75 fantasy points in each of his past three games. Meanwhile, the Lakers have allowed the ninth-most fantasy points to small forwards this season. Pierce needs just 23.5 fantasy points to reach 5x value and should easily be able to do so.

PF - Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas Mavericks (vs. MEM), $6,400: Playing fewer minutes than he had for the majority of his career, Nowitzki lacks the upside against one of the best team defenses in the league. That said, Nowitzki has been remarkably consistent with at least 26 fantasy points in 16 consecutive games and an average of 31.77 over that stretch.

PF - Nene Hilario, Washington Wizards (at LAL), $5,400: Nene has an exploitable matchup as the Lakers have allowed eighth-most fantasy points to opposing power forwards this season. Over his past five games, he has averaged more than 30 fantasy points (30.15) per game.

C - Jonas Valanciunas, Toronto Raptors (at IND), $5,900: More of a tournament play due to his inconsistency, Valanciunas (easy for Barkley to say) now has three double-doubles in his past four games including 20/11 against the Pistons on Sunday. (Too bad he can't play Detroit every day as he had a 31/12 double-double against them on Jan. 12th as well.) That said, the Pacers have allowed the 10th-most fantasy points to opposing centers this season.

C - Hassan Whiteside, Miami Heat (vs. MIL), $5,800: Playing 25 minutes off the bench on Sunday, Whiteside did maximum damage with his allotment of minutes by posting the rare triple-double with blocked shots. In his past eight games, Whiteside has played at least 24 minutes in four games and he has a double-double (or a triple-double) in all four of those games. The only drawback with him tonight will be his extremely high ownership levels.

C - Andrew Bogut, Golden State Warriors (vs. CHI), $4,700: Bogut now has at least 34 fantasy points in two of his past three games and he gets a nice matchup against the Bulls, who have allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing centers this season. Even though Bogut gets much of his fantasy points from rebounds and blocks, the Warriors are projected to score the most points in tonight's six-game slate.

Fantasy NBA DraftKings DFS Values (Jan. 25th)

On Saturday, no player had a higher salary than Portland's Damian Lillard ($9,400) and all of the games had an over-under of 196.0 or less.

What a difference a day makes!

For Sunday's slate of games, we have six different players priced at $10,000 or more with Anthony Davis ($11,100) priced the highest. And nine of the 11 Sunday games have an over-under of at least 200 with the Suns and Clippers leading the way at 222.0.

With an average available salary of $6,250 per player on DraftKings, identifying some values will be key if you're going to fit some of the high-priced studs into your lineup(s).

As usual, we will highlight some players we like that are priced at $6,500 or less in order to help you uncover some value.

With that said, here are some DraftKings values for Sunday's NBA games:

PG - Elfrid Payton, Orlando Magic (vs. IND), $5,500: Payton left Friday's game late with knee soreness and is considered questionable for tonight's game. If he plays, however, Payton has scored at least 28.5 -- and averaged 35.21 -- fantasy points in his past six games. During that span, the rookie has averaged 13.83 points, 8.33 assists, 4.17 rebounds and 2.33 steals per game.

PG - D.J. Augustin, Detroit Pistons (at TOR), $3,200: The devastating injury to Brandon Jennings (Achilles) last night will open up plenty of minutes for Augustin, who moves into the starting point guard spot. Augustin is averaging 0.82 fantasy points per minute and should easily see 30-plus minutes today, which makes him one of the top value plays of the day at any position.

PG - Jerryd Bayless, Milwaukee Bucks (at SA), $3,000: Bayless has played 20-plus minutes with 20-plus fantasy points in each of his past two games. In those two games, Bayless has dished out nine and eight assists, respectively. Bayless provides some salary-cap relief at the position-minimum salary, but I'll have much more Augustin than Bayless today.

* Fantasy Basketball World Championship (FBWC): Qualify for DraftKings FBWC and spend a five-night VIP experience in Vegas culminating in a one-in-40 shot at the $1 MILLION top prize. Qualify for as little as $20. 

SG - Bradley Beal, Washington Wizards (at DEN), $6,300: Given Beal's inconsistency, he's better suited as a tournament play than for cash games. Over his past eight games, however, Beal has scored at least 26 fantasy points in all six games that he has played at least 30 minutes. During that eight-game span (including the two duds), Beal has averaged 13.38 points, 1.5 three's, 4.5 rebounds, 4.25 assists and a steal per game. Given the favorable matchup against the Nuggets, who allow the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing two guards and rank fourth in the league in pace, Beal has 40-point upside Sunday.

SG - Eric Gordon, New Orleans Pelicans (vs. DAL), $5,700: With Jrue Holiday out for a few more weeks, Gordon should continue to be a strong option although his price is beginning to creep up. Over his past nine games, Gordon has averaged nearly 30 fantasy points (29.64) with an average of 16.3 points, 2.11 three's, 4.78 assists and 3.22 rebounds per game with a steal in eight of those nine games.

SG - Kyle Korver, Atlanta Hawks (vs. MIN), $4,800: As 18.5-point favorites, the Hawks may rest some starters, but the matchup is otherwise as good as it gets. No team has allowed more fantasy points to opposing shooting guards this season than the Timberwolves. Because of the likelihood of a blowout, I'll avoid all of the higher-priced options just in case, but the risk with Korver is relatively low even if he plays only three quarters given his sub-$5,000 salary.

SG - Wayne Ellington, Los Angeles Lakers (vs. HOU), $3,600: With Kobe Bryant out for the rest of the season, Ellington will be one of the biggest beneficiaries. Ellington has 20-plus fantasy points in back-to-back games and should reach value today while providing owners with some salary-cap relief.

SF - Paul Pierce, Washington Wizards (at DEN), $4,600: I almost never play Pierce, but he has been productive in his past two games with at least 31 fantasy points in each. In those two games, he has averaged 16.5 points, 2.5 three's, 9.0 rebounds and a steal per game. Especially for the contests that start at 6 p.m. and therefore exclude LeBron James and Kevin Durant, I'm not crazy about the small forward options today.

SF - P.J. Tucker, Phoenix Suns (vs. LAC), $4,200: As noted earlier, the Suns-Clippers game has today's highest over-under (222.0) and stacking this game is certainly a recommended course of action. Obviously, Tucker is far from the Suns' top option, but he's a cheap way to get additional exposure to a game loaded with this much fantasy upside. Tucker's production tends to be a bit inconsistent, but he has averaged 24.07 fantasy points per game over his past seven games. In addition, he doesn't need to score to be productive as he showed on Wednesday with three real points and 36.75 fantasy points.

PF - Thaddeus Young, Minnesota Timberwolves (at ATL), $6,000: Young had just 21 fantasy points on Friday, but he had scored more than 30 fantasy points in each of his previous four games. Over his past five games, he is averaging 16.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.4 steals per game.

PF - Nene Hilario, Washington Wizards (at DEN), $5,400: Nene returns to Denver, where he has spent the majority of his career. The Nuggets really struggle to defend bigs as they allow the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing power forwards and Nene has been productive recently. Not only does he have at least 20 fantasy points in nine of 10 games, but he has averaged 31.88 over his past four games.

PF - Brandon Bass, Boston Celtics (at GS), $4,400: Whether or not the Celtics are showcasing Bass for a trade, he's become nearly a must-start as long as he's still a Celtic with his low price point. Over his past four games, Bass has averaged 15.75 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.25 assists and 1.25 steals per game. And he's been especially good in his past two games with 38.0 and 43.75 fantasy points, respectively.

PF - Patrick Patterson, Toronto Raptors (vs. DET), $4,000: Patterson has been playing well and even if he doesn't start (although he started the second half on Friday), Two-Patt should be able to reach value. In his past three games, he's averaging 10.67 points and 11.67 boards per game with a total of 11 three-pointers in those three games. (DraftKings offers a bonus for double-doubles and three-pointers.)

C - Marcin Gortat, Washington Wizards (at DEN), $5,500: The Polish Hammer is coming off a sub-par performance (13.75 fantasy points), but he is another Wizard that is a solid value today. As noted with Nene, the Nuggets struggle to defend the low post and they have allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing centers.

C - Timofey Mozgov, Cleveland Cavaliers (vs. OKC), $5,200: Mozgov has now posted double-doubles in three consecutive games. During that span, he's averaging 15.0 points, 12.0 rebounds, 1.67 blocked shots and 35.83 fantasy points per game.

C - Alex Len, Phoenix Suns (vs. LAC), $4,600: The potential of early foul trouble against the talented Clippers front court is a concern, but Len has had a couple of productive outings the first two times he has faced the Clippers this season. Even though he had 11 personal fouls in those two games, he has averaged 15.5 points and 9.0 rebounds in 26 minutes per contest.

Daily Fantasy Basketball: FanDuel Values for March 13th

If you play daily fantasy sports (and who doesn't these days?!), you know that one of the keys to success is uncovering undervalued players to allow you to load up on studs elsewhere.

In case you've never played daily fantasy basketball, every player has a salary and your roster cannot exceed the game's salary-cap maximum.

For FanDuel leagues, rosters consist of nine players and the salary cap is $60,000, which averages to roughly $6,667 per player. To give you an idea of the range for Thursday's games, Thunder SF Kevin Durant ($12,000) has the contest's highest salary while many are tied for the lowest at the game-minimum salary ($3,500).

There are a number of benefits compared to traditional full-season re-draft leagues, such as:

• you don't have to worry about being saddled by players sidelined by injury;
• having a late pick doesn't rule out owning studs like Kevin Durant or LeBron James;
• you get the instant gratification of winning your league(s) that night.

And you know that enthusiasm you have after drafting your fantasy team(s)? Well, you get to experience that feeling on a nightly basis with daily fantasy basketball.

OK, with the preliminary stuff out of the way, here are some value plays to consider for Thursday (March 13th) FanDuel leagues:

PG - Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder (vs. LAL), $8,700: While I've never before listed a player with a salary greater than $7,500 in this post, Westbrook will be the exception as he's a must-start against the Lakers, especially considering there are only three games on tonight's NBA slate. In his past seven games, Westbrook has 34.9-plus fantasy points and he has averaged 48.0 fantasy points in his past four games, which includes a triple-double in just 20 minutes against the Sixers. The Lakers have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season.

PG - D.J. Augustin, Chicago Bulls (vs. HOU), $5,800: In his past six games, Augustin has scored 22-plus points four times including in his previous two games. During that six-game stretch, he has averaged 20.83 points, 3.17 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game.

SG - Jimmy Butler, Chicago Bulls (vs. HOU), $6,700: Only James Harden ($10,000) has a higher price at shooting guard, but the gap is enormous. In his eight games since returning from injury, Butler has scored 30 or more fantasy points six times. During that span, he is averaging 16.5 points, 6.13 rebounds, 2.38 assists and 2.38 steals in more than 42 minutes per game. The Rockets have allowed the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards this season.

SG - Jodie Meeks, Los Angeles Lakers (at OKC), $5,800: While I don't expect a repeat of his 42-point performance (49.4 fantasy points) when these two teams met on March 9th, Meeks is one of the league's best shooters and you know he will get his minutes. With Mike D'Antoni pulling the strings, there is no guarantee for others. For example, Kent Bazemore ($4,900) has played 32, 16 and 20 minutes in his past three games.

SG - Kyle Korver, Atlanta Hawks (vs. MIL), $5,000: With strong outings in back-to-back games, Korver has averaged 21.5 points, 3.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals in his past two games. In those two games, he has had 32.8 and 32.9 fantasy points, respectively.

SF - DeMarre Carroll, Atlanta Hawks (vs. MIL), $5,800: In his past eight games, Carroll has scored a minimum of 19.2 fantasy points in each game while averaging 25.49 FPPG. During that stretch, he has averaged 14.88 points, 5.25 rebounds and 1.25 steals per game. Carroll gets a favorable matchup tonight as the Bucks have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing small forwards this season.

SF - Ryan Kelly, Los Angeles Lakers (at OKC), $4,500: After losing his starting gig and seeing a huge reduction in minutes, Kelly has played 33-plus minutes in back-to-back games. In those two games, he has scored 41.7 and 36.0 fantasy points, respectively. Against OKC on the 9th, Kelly played 37 minutes and scored 12 points while adding eight assists, five rebounds, two blocks and a steal. In most of my FanDuel contests tonight, it will be a Durant-Kelly duo at SF for me.

PF - Serge Ibaka, Oklahoma City Thunder (vs. LAL), $8,200: Like Durant and Westbrook, it would be extremely hard (i.e., foolish) to sit Ibaka. No team has allowed more fantasy points to opposing power forwards and Ibaka abused the Lakers for 48.5 fantasy points (21 points, 15 boards, two blocks and two steals) in their previous matchup on Sunday.

PF - John Henson, Milwaukee Bucks (at ATL), $4,900: Provided Ersan Ilyasova (ankle) misses more time, Henson's fantasy value increases (in theory). Henson has 19.2 or more fantasy points in four consecutive games. With back-to-back games of 30-plus minutes, Henson has scored exactly 10 points with eight rebounds in each game after 12/6 in his previous two games with fewer minutes.

C - Pero Antic, Atlanta Hawks (vs. MIL), $4,300: If you don't start a stud like Joakim Noah, Antic is a cheap option to consider. Not only has he been productive in his past two games (22.1-plus fantasy points in each game), but he has a favorable matchup tonight. Only the Lakers and Sixers have allowed more fantasy points to opposing centers than the Bucks have this season.

PG - Will Bynum, Detroit Pistons (vs. SAC), $3,900: Despite modest minutes, Bynum has scored 20-plus fantasy points in five of his past six games. The Kings have allowed the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season.

PG - Ray McCallum, Sacramento Kings (at DET), $3,300: Born in Detroit, McCallum returns home to face the Pistons, who have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points this season to opposing point guards. McCallum is coming off a quiet night against the Nets on Sunday (9.5 fantasy points in 30 minutes), but he had scored 17.25 to 22.0 fantasy points in each of his previous four games.

* DraftKings is running a one-day contest (Mar. 26th) with $1 million in prizes including $100k for 1st place. The entry fee is $500, but they are running qualifiers every day including a free qualifier plus deposit bonus to new accounts.

PG/SG - Jerryd Bayless, Boston Celtics (at IND), $4,500: Bayless has scored at least 23.75 fantasy points in four of his past five games including one against tonight's opponent. Over those five games, Bayless is averaging 15.8 points, 1.6 three's, 4.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.

PG/SG - Devin Harris, Dallas Mavericks (at GS), $3,700: Over his past three games, Harris has averaged 27.5 fantasy points per game including 38.25 of them on Sunday against the Pacers. During that three-game span, Harris has averaged 11.33 points, 5.67 assists and 2.0 steals per game. Based on salary cost per average fantasy points produced this month, Harris has the lowest number (160.43) among guard-eligible players for Tuesday games.

SG/SF - Corey Brewer, Minnesota Timberwolves (vs. MIL), $4,900: In 44 minutes against the Raptors on Sunday, Brewer had 17 points, six steals, three assists and three rebounds as he scored 39.25 fantasy points. In his past 10 games, he has seven games with multiple steals (22 steals in those games) and three games with none. That said, the Bucks have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing small forwards.

SG/SF - Danny Green, San Antonio Spurs (at CHI), $4,600: While the matchup is far from favorable, Green has been productive recently and his production should at least exceed his relatively modest cost. In his past three games, Green has scored more than 30 fantasy points twice and at least 21.75 per game. Doing a bit of everything, Green has averaged 13.33 points, 3.0 treys, 3.33 boards, 3.33 assists, 1.67 blocks and 1.0 steals per game over his past three.

SF - Draymond Green, Golden State Warriors (vs. DAL), $3,800: Green saw a three-game streak of games with 23.75-plus fantasy points end as he fouled out in 22 minutes on Sunday. That said, he's a solid contributor in virtually all categories at a minimal price point. The Mavs have allowed the 11th-most fantasy points to small forwards this year.

SF/PF - Khris Middleton, Milwaukee Bucks (at MIN), $4,400: With a strong all-around performance, Middleton scored 47.0 fantasy points against the Magic last night. Middleton knocked down five-of-eight three-pointers as he scored 21 points and added six rebounds, seven assists, two steals and a block. Over his past four games, he has scored a minimum of 24.5 fantasy points in each game.

SF/PF - Ersan Ilyasova, Milwaukee Bucks (at MIN), $5,200: Ilyasova posted a double-double (16 points, 11 rebounds) and finished with 33.25 fantasy points last night against the Magic. Despite some inconsistency, he has scored at least 26.5 fantasy points in four of the five games he has played this month.

PF/C - Taj Gibson, Chicago Bulls (vs. SAS), $5,600: Gibson had an poor shooting outing (3 of 11) on Sunday vs. Miami, but he played through the flu. In his previous three outings, he was 25 of 43 (.581) from the field. Even with an off game against the Heat, Gibson has scored 24.5-plus fantasy points in three consecutive games.

PF/C - Reggie Evans, Sacramento Kings (at DET), $3,600: Evans played a four-game low of 17 minutes on Sunday, but he still grabbed nine rebounds in limited playing time. In his previous matchup in Detroit, Evans just missed a double-double (11 points, nine rebounds) as he scored 23.75 fantasy points in 20 minutes.

C - Kelly Olynyk, Boston Celtics (at IND), $4,700: There are a couple of concerns with Olynyk — the matchup is unfavorable and he has played just 17 and 18 minutes in his past two games. That said, he has averaged 16.67 points, 1.67 treys and 6.0 rebounds with 26.67 fantasy points per game over his past three since returning from injury.

Bulls center Joakim Noah gets another triple-double

Coming off a relatively quiet performance against the Mavs on Friday, Chicago's Joakim Noah bounced back with a triple-double against the Knicks.

Noah finished the game with 13 points, 12 rebounds and a career-high 14 assists, but he also added two blocks and two steals as the Bulls extended their winning streak to four games. (The Knicks have now lost six games in a row.)

Not only is it uncommon for a center to get a triple-double, but this was Noah's second triple-double in his past nine games. Of the 18 players with at least one triple-double this season, Noah is the only center.

In addition, Noah now has double-digit assists in four of his past 11 games.

To state it differently, Noah has as many games with double-digit assists (four) as the rest of the Bulls team combined this season. The others are D.J. Augustin (two), Kirk Hinrich (one) and Luol Deng (one), who is now in Cleveland.

Over his past 12 games, Noah has averaged 13.92 points, 12.17 rebounds, 6.92 assists, 1.83 blocks and 1.00 steals per game.

Only Indiana's Lance Stephenson (four) and Golden State's Stephen Curry (three) have more triple-doubles than Noah this season. Portland's Nicolas Batum and Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant also have two of them.

Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire (February 23rd Update)

With roughly two months left in the regular season, now is the time to make your push in your fantasy league(s).

Here are some players to consider adding and all are available in at least 50 percent of Yahoo! leagues:

PG - D.J. Augustin, Chicago Bulls (48 percent): It was an ugly performance for Augustin on Sunday. In fact, it was the worst shooting performance of his career as he was an imperfect 0-for-10 from the field against the Heat. Previously, his career-worst was an 0-for-8 performance.

In his previous two games, however, Augustin was 9-of-12 from behind the arc. And in 18 games from Jan. 15th to Feb. 21st, Augustin averaged 2.94 three-pointers per game and connected on 51.46 percent of his 103 treys attempted during that stretch. During that span, he has averaged 17.39 points, 5.06 assists and nearly a steal (0.94) per game.

PG - Patty Mills, San Antonio Spurs (31 percent): Over his past eight games, Mills has scored 16 or more points six times and he has averaged 18.88 points per game during that span. Mills has also averaged two treys and one steal per game while adding 3.88 rebounds and 2.38 assists per game.

PG/SG - Alec Burks, Utah Jazz (27 percent): Over his past 18 games, Burks has scored in double digits in 15 games and has averaged 16.6 points during that stretch. Averaging more than seven free-throw attempts per game over the stretch, he has been especially aggressive over the past five games with an average of 10.4 FTA per game.

PG/SG - Patrick Beverley, Houston Rockets (21 percent): Although he is not a big scorer, Beverley has averaged nearly two three-pointers (1.88) per game over his past eight games played. In addition, Beverley has also averaged two steals, 4.38 rebounds and 4.13 assists per game during that span.

PG/SG - Lou Williams, Atlanta Hawks (21 percent): In his past two games, Williams has averaged 14.5 points, 7.5 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game. In addition, he has made six three-pointers as well.

PG/SG - Brian Roberts, New Orleans Pelicans (20 percent): Until Jrue Holiday returns, Roberts will continue to get the start at point guard. In his past eight games, Roberts has averaged 14.88 points, 4.88 assists, 1.5 three-pointers and 1.63 steals per game.

SG - Jodie Meeks, Los Angeles Lakers (50 percent): Back from injury, Meeks has connected only 4-of-14 three-point attempts over his past two games, but he has scored 17.5 points per game in those two games. Meeks is one of the league's better three-point shooters.

SG - Tim Hardaway, Jr., New York Knicks (22 percent): Hardaway's primary fantasy value comes from scoring and more specifically his three-point shooting. Over his past four games, Hardaway has made 11 three-pointers and averaged more than 15 points per game. In addition, Hardaway Jr. has played at least 30 minutes in five consecutive games.

* DraftKings: Play Daily Fantasy Sports and get a 100-percent bonus (up to $600) on your initial deposit.

SG/SF - Vince Carter, Dallas Mavericks (32 percent): In February, Carter is averaging 11.3 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. Over the past six games, Carter has knocked down three three-pointers three times and averaged 1.43 steals per game over that span.

SG/SF - Mike Dunleavy, Chicago Bulls (25 percent): Over his past six games, Dunleavy has averaged 6.5 rebounds, 1.33 steals and 1.0 blocks per game. While his scoring has been down in general, he has scored double figures in three of his past four games.

SG/SF - P.J. Tucker, Phoenix Suns (22 percent): Although he had a disappointing performance on Friday (four points and five rebounds), Tucker had three double-doubles in his previous four games. Since January 8th, Tucker has averaged 10.05 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game.

SG/SF - Kyle Singler, Detroit Pistons (11 percent): Scoring double figures in 10 of his past 12 games, Singler has averaged 11.92 points per game during that span. In addition, he is averaging 1.58 steals and 1.92 three-pointers per game during that stretch.

SG/SF - James Anderson, Philadelphia 76ers (10 percent): Anderson has played more than 30 minutes in three consecutive games and has eight three-pointers and seven steals in those three games.

SG/SF - Kent Bazemore, Los Angeles Lakers (four percent): In 33 minutes on Friday, Bazemore scored 15 points and added three rebounds, four assists, two steals and two treys. Bazemore will move into the starting lineup on Sunday.

SF/PF - DeMarre Carroll, Atlanta Hawks (35 percent): On Saturday, Carroll scored a career-high 24 points and hit four three-pointers. In addition, he added six rebounds and two steals in 34 minutes.

PF - Mike Scott, PF, Atlanta Hawks (six percent): In his past two games, Scott has scored 50 points on 20-of-30 shooting from the field and 8-of-11 from behind the arc. For as long as Paul Millsap (knee) is out, Scott should be a productive fantasy option even if he's not shooting 72 percent from three-point range.

PF/C - Josh McRoberts, Charlotte Bobcats (30 percent): Over his past six games, McRoberts has knocked down nearly half of his three-point attempts (14 of 29). During that span, he has averaged 11.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.67 assists.

PF/C - Markieff Morris, Phoenix Suns (42 percent): With the exception of a zero-point performance on Feb. 8th, Morris has scored in double digits in 16 of 17 games and is averaging 15.59 points and 5.88 rebounds per game during that stretch. In his past seven games, Morris is averaging more than a steal and block per game as well.

PF/C - Brandon Bass, Boston Celtics (41 percent): Bass has played at least 30 minutes in three consecutive games and he has scored in double figures in five consecutive games. In those five games, he is averaging 14.8 points and 6.2 rebounds.

Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire (January 19th Update)

Here are some players to consider adding and all are available in at least 50 percent of Yahoo! leagues:

PG - D.J. Augustin, Chicago Bulls (owned in 24 percent of Yahoo! leagues): Augustin has scored 16-plus points in four of his past five games and has dished out seven-plus assists in six of his past eight games. Over the past eight-game stretch, Augustin is averaging 13.88 points, 2.0 three's, 6.88 assists and 1.13 steals per game.

PG - Ramon Sessions, Charlotte Bobcats (14 percent): With Kemba Walker suffering an ankle injury on Saturday, Sessions played a season-high 38 minutes and scored 16 points with five assists. Sessions now has five assists in four consecutive games.

PG - Brian Roberts, New Orleans Pelicans (13 percent): In his past four games, Roberts has averaged 11.25 points, 5.25 assists, 1.25 three's and 0.75 steals. As long as Jrue Holiday (stress fracture) is out, Roberts should continue to see 30-plus minutes each night.

PG/SG - Alec Burks, Utah Jazz (23 percent): With Gordon Hayward out, Burks has scored 16-plus points in four of his past five games. During that five-game span, he is averaging 18.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 0.8 steals per game.

PG/SG - Kirk Hinrich, Chicago Bulls (13 percent): In his past two games, Hinrich has a total of 24 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists and four blocks. He also has at least five assists in five of his past six games.

SG - Jodie Meeks, Los Angeles Lakers (49 percent): One of the league's better three-point shooters, Meeks has knocked down 2.25 three's per game this month including six of them on Wednesday. In addition, he's averaging 19.5 points, 3.13 assists and 1.5 steals per game as well.

SG/SF - Wesley Johnson, Los Angeles Lakers (22 percent): Over the past six games, Johnson has averaged 15.17 points, 2.0 three's, 5.0 rebounds, 1.33 steals and 0.67 blocks per game. As long as both Kobe Bryant and Xavier Henry are out, Johnson should continue to see big minutes, but one or both could return by the end of the month.

SG/SF - Courtney Lee, Memphis Grizzlies (nine percent): Lee has scored 15-plus points in three of his past four games and has five three-pointers, four steals and three blocks during that span as well.

SG/SF - Martell Webster, Washington Wizards (32 percent): Over his past four games, Webster has scored in double figures mostly due to his three-point shooting. In those four games, he has a total of 12 three's and four steals.

SG/SF - P.J. Tucker, Phoenix Suns (12 percent): Over his past six games, Tucker has averaged 8.83 rebounds per game and has eight or more rebounds in five of those six games. During that span, he has also averaged 10.67 points and 1.67 three-pointers as well.

SF - Al-Farouq Aminu, New Orleans Pelicans (14 percent): With the injuries in the Pelicans' frontcourt (Ryan Anderson and Jason Smith), it means more minutes for Aminu. Over his past four games, he is averaging 10.5 points and 10.25 rebounds per game.

SF/PF - James Johnson, Memphis Grizzlies (20 percent): Johnson has two blocks or more — including six blocks on Wednesday — in six consecutive games. While he has scored in double-digits only twice this month (out of nine games), he is averaging 4.0 rebounds, 3.11 assists, 1.44 steals and 2.11 blocks per game in January.

PF/C - Glen Davis, Orlando Magic (44 percent): In nine games this month, Davis has four double-doubles and he was just a rebound off of two other double-doubles. During the month, he is averaging 14.89 points, 9.44 rebounds and 1.11 steals per game.

PF/C - Josh McRoberts, Charlotte Bobcats (18 percent): McRoberts has scored in double digits in three consecutive games and he has a total of nine three-pointers in that span. In his past six games, he has at least four assists in four of those games and a total of seven steals and seven blocks during that span.
