LaMarcus Aldridge to postpone surgery, will play on Saturday

Portland Trail Blazers power forward LaMarcus Aldridge was expected to miss the next six to eight weeks with a tear in his left thumb that he suffered against the Sacramento Kings recently.

In shocking news, Aldridge will postpone surgery and play tonight against the Washington Wizards.

On the season, Aldridge is averaging 23.18 points, 10.18 rebounds and 1.18 blocks per game. In addition, he is averaging 42.76 DraftKings fantasy points (eighth-most in NBA) and 40.27 FanDuel fantasy points (seventh-most) per game.

Earlier this morning, the Blazers were 5.5-point underdogs to the Wizards; now the spread is down to 2.5 points.
