With six seconds to go in the game, Smart ended up in the crowd after a shot-block attempt. When Smart got up, he took offense to the comments and let his frustrations get the better of him.
After pushing the fan (Jeff Orr), dubbed Texas Tech's "number one fan," Smart was assessed a technical foul but not ejected.

Not only did Oklahoma State lose tonight's game 65-61, but they have now lost four consecutive games. While this incident seems out of character for Smart, it seems likely that the incident will lead to Smart missing a few games due to a suspension.
[Update: Smart was suspended for three games.]
