Kevin Love gets first career triple-double

On Saturday night, Timberwolves power forward Kevin Love did something he had never done in his career.

Known for his double-doubles, Love recorded his first-ever triple-double against the Jazz with 37 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists.

At the All-Star break, we made some bold predictions for the second half and my "bold" prediction was that Love would average 30 points and 15 rebounds per game after the break.  (As I noted when making the prediction, no player has averaged 30/15 for a full season in the past 40 years.)

In two games since the break, he is averaging 39.5 points and 14.0 rebounds per game.

Love has scored 30-plus points in eight of his past 10 games and he has a streak of nine consecutive games with a double-double.

On the season, Love is averaging 26.37 points, 13.25 rebounds and 4.06 assists per game.  If he maintains those averages, it would be a career high in both points and assists.
