T'Wolves, Kevin Love agree to four-year extension

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Kevin Love have agreed to a four-year extension worth $61 million, but Love can opt out after the third year.

I wanted to be here,” he said, per Jerry Zgoda of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. “I love Minnesota. I love the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. I love the fans. Everyone who has been around me the last four years know that. Obviously the cold weather is tough at some points, but the fans have been so great.

“I’m excited, very excited for the coaching staff, for my teammates, for myself, for my family, for the fans. I’m excited to be here for four years.”

Love currently ranks fourth in the NBA in scoring (24.9 points per game) and second in rebounding (13.9 per game).

With the exception of January 21st vs. the Jazz, Love has had a double-double in every game this season.
